TussleMuscle is a short experimental 16mm film directed by Steve Cossman. It consists of 7,000 ViewMaster cells spliced together and is screened along with a live soundtrack by Jacob Long.

An excerpt of the film is available to watch online at Cossman’s official website. It’s not embeddable, otherwise I’d put it right here to watch. But it’s highly recommended that you go check it out. It’s a hypnotic and mesmerizing piece, even this short bit of it.

Cossman also runs the Mono No Aware expanded cinema festival that runs on Nov. 28 this year in Brooklyn, NY.
